Cupping Therapy
What is Cupping?
Cupping is a modality used in Chinese Medicine where glass or silicone cups are moved gently back and forth along a body area.
A negative pressure is created in the cup allowing for it to suction to the skin. This gently pulls the skin and muscles up loosening achy muscles, opens the meridians and dredges any stagnation.
Bruising is a common side effect of cupping however this is not the treatment objective. Bruising usually resolves within 4-10 days.
